Marvilla Parks La Côte Sauvage (Ile de Ré)

Camping La Côte Sauvage is right on the Plage de la Conche des Baleines - a golden sand beach that is safe and manageable for families with children. The sea here is inviting and refreshing, ideal for swimming, paddling or searching for shells. Older children also have hours of fun bodyboarding in the waves. There is no swimming pool at the campsite, but with the ocean literally on your doorstep, there is no need for one. Sand, sea and sun provide endless beach fun every day.

At this campsite, everything is about being outdoors. Your children will soon find their way to the playground, the soccer field or the table tennis tables. The entertainment team organises fun activities for young and old: crafts, sports tournaments and theme nights that everyone will want to attend. As a mom, you can relax with a book or join a game of beach volleyball.

Don't feel like cooking one day? No problem! The campsite has a cosy snack bar where you can go for a fresh salad or a pizza straight from the oven. And in the morning, you can smell the fragrance of freshly baked bread from the mini market - a small moment of happiness on vacation. Also handy: you'll find everything you need for a quick errand or forgotten sunburn.

You don't have to go far to discover the charm of Île de Ré. The Plage de la Conche des Baleines is literally right in front of your mobile home, but the Plage de Gros Joncs and the Plage des Gollandières are also a short bike ride away and are definitely worth a visit.

A fun day trip is to climb the famous Phare des Baleines at the northernmost tip of the island. Quite a climb, but the view of the ocean is breathtaking. For nature lovers, the Réserve Naturelle Nationale de Lilleau des Niges is a must - a beautiful protected area with hiking trails and many bird species.

A stop at the Observatoire du Clocher or the old Abbey Notre-Dame-de-Ré is also not to be missed. And do you fancy a day out of the island? Via the famous Pont de Ré you can easily reach the mainland for a trip to the charming La Rochelle.
