It’s a rather quiet campsite. There aren’t many small children, which I think is partly because the swimming pool isn’t really suitable for them. The campsite is spacious, mind you, but there just isn’t much of an atmosphere. Personally, I miss seeing children playing happily outside, playing football and so on. The swimming pool water often didn’t look all that clean. There was also one occasion when the main pool was closed due to the water quality. You’re not allowed to eat or drink by the pool, though they didn’t say anything when we took our bottle of water with us. We ate at the restaurant a few times, where the food is actually quite good. The service was really slow, though. We just wanted a quick drink once, but ended up leaving after five minutes. The entertainment is fun, but it’s very much geared towards the French. Because of the heat in the mornings, we often headed to the sea, which meant we had to drive a bit to get there. We hired a caravan through Eurocamp; the couple who dealt with us were really nice, but the young woman didn’t really speak any English. I ended up using Google Translate when the caravan door could only be closed with a loud bang. When we reported this, they admitted it was a known issue. In the end, my husband fixed it using the tools she’d brought along. One handy thing is that you can charge your car at the campsite. You do need to make sure you collect a charging card from reception, though. And here’s a tip: keep hold of it if you plan to charge regularly. They have 10 of these cards, but I get the impression that some people never return them.
