No sunloungers as people allowed to put towels on them and leave most of the day

We had a lovely stay at chateau des marais. We stayed for 11 nights, but wish we'd booked longer. The "water park" is an over statement. There are 3 small pools with 3 slides and a lazy river. The pools were PACKED every second so it's impossible to actually swim in them, plus people dumped stuff on sunloungers, left for most of the day so pretty much impossible to get anywhere to sit. Staff could easily stop this. That's my only con about this place. The site is immaculate, well kept, staff are extremely friendly. We stayed in a cottage, which was really peaceful, plenty of space around us. Our fridge stopped working and they sorted a replacement within 30 minutes of me telling reception. There are children's clubs for all ages with plenty happening, we didn't use, but our teenagers played football most nights in the football area with other children. There is plenty to do on site, with a well stocked shop. But it is also extremely peaceful around the accommodation. I loved the little food garden where you could help yourself to fresh herbs, tomatoes etc, was a lovely touch. There is tons to do and see nearby and this site is very well placed for exploring the Loire. Chambord chateaux is a few minutes drive away and is well worth a visit (even for just the grounds and little market), the city of Blois, Beaugency town both well worth a visit, plus the Loire river is a few minutes walk away and there are a couple of food stalls to unwind and enjoy the amazing views. Lots of little towns and villages to discover nearby too. It's a very friendly area of France and amazing views everywhere. The site has a really good mix of nationalities staying there, mostly French and Dutch, which made a positive change to sites where it is dominated by British!

The space in the unit, the dishwasher. The site was very clean and well maintained

The air conditioning

Staff very helpful

On weekend pool area was very crowded and noisy with people who were not resident

Not enough sun on our deck area

Good have stayed at this site before. Would say air con was essential as over 30 degrees each day in September
