Although Friesland is visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists in the summer, the most water-rich province of the Netherlands is generally wonderfully quiet. You can enjoy peace and quiet and many different landscapes, such as mounds, beach and of course the Frisian lakes. Water sports enthusiasts are sure to find what they are looking for in Friesland, with the Sneekweek, Skutsjesielen, mudflat hiking or just a day renting a boat on one of the many lakes.
