For a small-scale campsite by a sandy beach, Camping Falkudden is the right place. This atmospheric campsite in the Swedish province of Dalarna is around 150 kilometres from Stockholm, right on the Dalälven river. From water sports to hiking, this campsite offers all the ingredients for an active holiday in nature!
Swimming facilities at Falkudden campsite

With a beautiful lakeside beach less than 50 metres away, you will enjoy hours of swimming fun during your camping holiday. The water is also suitable for small children, as a section is specially marked off with pontoons. Jump into the water from the swimming jetty or relax on the adjacent grassy and sandy beach. Water sports enthusiasts can practice all kinds of sports besides swimming, such as fishing and canoeing. You can rent a canoe at the campsite and take one of three trips through the surrounding nature.

Facilities at Falkudden campsite

In addition to canoe rental, bicycle rental is available less than 200 metres from the campsite. So you can explore Färnebofjärden National Park at your own pace. At the campsite, you can do your daily shopping at the local kiosk. The campsite also sells small souvenirs and fishing equipment here. For a tasty cup of coffee and hot snacks such as a pan pizza or toastie, sit down at the park's cosy café. There is also a sandwich and breakfast service available. A more extensive shop is two kilometres away, as is a petrol station.

Camping Falkudden is centrally located between the cities of Västerås, Borlänge, and Uppsala. Dalarna's oldest town Hedemora is 45 kilometres away. Also recommended are the Sala Silver Mine, Elk Park, and the By Graphic Museum.
