A super HOT and fun midweek break
Situated in a peaceful spot on the banks of the Lesse

It was a really lovely midweek break with two kids (aged 13 and 18) and a dog. We had a cottage right on the banks of the Lesse. Unfortunately, due to the drought, the water level was low and we couldn’t go kayaking, though we did manage to do a bit in Bouillon. Sedan Castle is also just a stone’s throw away. It was very hot in the heat; luckily we had two fans with us, but as soon as we opened the windows to air the place out, loads of flies came in. There are no fly screens, which is a shame. We made some lovely memories there. I’ll definitely be back when the weather’s not so hot.

Unfortunately, there was only hot water in the shower twice in 14 days, both times at 12 noon. Unfortunately, it’s not quiet at night. There’s no lighting in the evenings, and drinking water is only available in the bathroom, where there’s no space for a kettle. The toilet and washbasin are unfortunately very small, but always clean and tidy.
