Camping Vira

There is no water park or pool at Camping Vira, but that doesn’t stop it being one of the top campsites in the Dalmatian/Split region. The site has the advantage of being located in a quiet cove with a 218-yards-long beach that is considered the most beautiful on the island of Hvar. Surrounded by scented pine trees, the part pebble, part rocky Blue Flag beach is well protected from the wind, making it ideal for swimming, and has flat areas for sunbathing as well as various water sports.

There’s plenty for an active or relaxing camping holiday at Vira. Sporting facilities at the beach include volleyball, pedal boats, diving, and sailing. The camp has a mini-golf course, billiards, games room, and fitness classes, and 656 yards away there is a leisure centre with tennis, basketball, and other sporting facilities. Regular entertainment is organised for children and adults at the camp. For dining, there is a restaurant and a beach bar that sells takeaway snacks and, for self-catering, a mini-market.

This luxury camping site is 2 miles from Hvar, an attractive town full of cultural and historical heritage. The town can be reached by bus from the campsite and the camp also organises excursions around the island and beyond. The island – also called Hvar – is beautiful and it can be explored by bike, walking, or by car.
