First Camp Lakolk

At this destination, water fun is all about nature. The campsite doesn’t have a pool of its own, but it’s located right on the impressive Lakolk Beach. This is one of the widest sandy beaches in all of Europe. The North Sea water here is wonderfully refreshing. Because the beach slopes very gently into the sea, children can safely paddle here and build the most beautiful sandcastles. You won’t have to lug bags full of towels and beach toys for kilometres, because you’ll have your feet in the sand in just a few steps. Enjoy long, sunny summer days together on the Danish coast.

There are no fewer than three fun playgrounds scattered throughout the grounds. An absolute favorite are the large, colorful inflatable play structures where kids can jump around and do somersaults. In the mood for an active afternoon with the whole family? Then hit a few balls on the fun mini-golf course. For your daily groceries, you can easily walk to the convenient supermarket on the grounds, and there’s also an ice cream shop for a delicious cold treat. In addition, there’s a special dog toilet and a dog bath, because your four-legged friend is an integral part of this holiday too.

The island of Rømø is located in the heart of the unique Wadden Sea National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. That means the natural scenery here is breathtaking. A truly remarkable natural phenomenon in the area is the “Black Sun,” where thousands of starlings dance in the sky all at once, forming beautiful patterns. You really shouldn’t miss this. From the campsite, you can take fantastic bike rides along the island’s charming little roads. A visit to the charming harbor of Rømø is also highly recommended. From here, the ferry departs for the German island of Sylt, which makes for a super fun day trip with the kids.
