At an altitude of 800 metres near the town of Murol, you will enjoy a wonderful camping holiday at Camping La Ribeyre. This campsite is situated in a green oasis at the foot of the Auvergne volcanoes. Quiet and shady campsite. The pitches are smaller than indicated. The sanitary facilities are poorly maintained, with no toilet paper or soap in the dispensers. Furthermore, there was no hot water when showering or doing dishes. After 3-4 days, we complained to the manager at reception. Things improved somewhat after that, but we had to wash the children in cold showers, and our dishes were impossible to clean without first boiling the water before washing properly. Entertainment is only in French, despite the many Dutch guests; neither Dutch nor English. The campsite shop is quite expensive; a bottle of water costs €1, and an ice cream in the restaurant costs an average of €4. You can also only order food, such as pizza, after 6 p.m.
