Camping Les Pins d'Oléron

A truly special water experience awaits you at this campsite. That’s because there’s no traditional swimming pool here, but a beautiful, eco-friendly lagoon pool. This unique lagoon has a soft, white sandy beach that slopes gently into the clear water, which is no more than 1.60 metres deep. This is ideal for your children, as they can walk in and out of the water safely and easily to play. Because the lagoon is filled with pure natural water free from chemicals, it is also wonderfully gentle on the skin. Surrounding this little tropical paradise, you can relax on the sand and soak up the sun. Would you rather head for the real sea? A short walk of just a few minutes will take you to the island’s wide beach, where you can enjoy the rolling waves with the whole family.

Children make friends in no time at all in the wooden outdoor playground or during the fun sports tournaments. What’s great about this campsite is the creative entertainment and the cosy atmosphere of the glamping area. Whilst the children are doing crafts or taking part in games, you can enjoy a moment to yourself. In the evenings, there’s regularly some lively entertainment for the whole family. There’s no need to cook, by the way, as you can pop into the campsite’s cosy restaurant for a delicious meal made with local produce. For breakfast, simply pop over to the on-site supermarket for crispy, warm baguettes and fresh croissants.

The island of Oléron is a fantastic destination with plenty of fun day trips for the whole family. Hire a couple of bikes at the campsite and explore the safe cycle paths together, which wind their way through the beautiful pine forests and past the unique salt pans. A visit to the charming village of Saint-Trojan-les-Bains is highly recommended, where you can enjoy the colourful fishermen’s cottages and the cosy atmosphere. For an unforgettable adventure, take the children on a boat trip from the harbour to admire the famous Fort Boyard, which stands impressively in the middle of the sea. The historic Chassiron lighthouse is also well worth a visit. The challenging climb to the top is rewarded with a breathtaking view of the ocean that the children won’t forget in a hurry.
