We had a lovely week. The surroundings are brilliant for hiking and canyoning trips. Solenzara is a charming little village where you can enjoy a meal and potter round the shops. There’s a market on Wednesday and Saturday evenings – I’d definitely recommend it. The campsite is beautifully laid out. Our cottage (premium chalet) was a bit ramshackle. It did, however, have a lovely, spacious terrace. The temperatures were something nobody could do anything about. It was very hot, which meant we couldn’t do much during the day. That was the case for the whole of our holiday in Corsica. You really need to be able to cope with that; otherwise, you’d be better off going somewhere else.
