Camping Le Val de Bonnal

The Ognon River flows past Camping Le Val de Bonnal and is a fantastic attribute of the campsite. Guests are able to swim in the lakes that are located on the other side of the river. In order to reach the swimming facilities you have to cross a small bridge. There are several lakes available for guests on the campsite with various water activities. The first lake has space to relax in the sun and is appropriate for swimming, surfing, and sailing a boat. There is a designated area with a grassy beach that is especially dedicated to swimming and water fun. In addition to this, there are several other lakes that are set aside for fishing. The swimming pool on Campsite Le Val de Bonnal is fun for all ages. The swimming complex includes various slides, a children’s pool, and a “Splash Park!” The “Splash Park” has fabulous water features to keep the children entertained. The “Splash Park” is located next to the main pool and is ideal for small children because of the soft floor.

There is a great atmosphere at Camping Le Val de Bonnal and there is always something to keep the family occupied. The campsite regularly organises excursions such as cycling and canoeing trips which include a picnic. The river Ognon flows directly by the campsite and part of the river has been set up as a canoe course! You are picked up from the campsite at the beginning of the course and you can spend 2-4 hours taking in the beautiful scenery on your family excursion. There are various other facilities on site, but bike riding around the lake is highly recommended. The restaurant, next to the Campsite offers great meals with a terrace that gives you a magnificent view of the estate. The campsite also organises a disco daily in the high season.

The surrounding area too has a lot to offer.  There are various landscapes, mountains, valleys and plains. If you fancy a historical day out, Besançon with its famous Citadel is well worth a visit. There are various other options for a family day out in the area such as, a zoo and the fascinating Oselle Cave.
