Camping Oasis Palavasienne is a nice family campsite with a tropical feel due to the many palm trees and flowers, at a short distance from the sea and close to the city of Montpellier.

Swimming facilities at Oasis Palavasienne

On Oasis Palavasienne you will find two beautiful pool complexes: one with children's pool and nice colored slides. The pool is nicely heated to 26 degrees. The other is even bigger, and also heated. It has even more possibilities, such as a whirlpool, lazy river and slides. The entertainment team also organises fun activities in the swimming pool, such as water aerobics, aquabike, disco swimming and water polo. For beach lovers there is a free shuttle service to the beach of Palavas-les-Flots. On this 7km long fine sandy beach everyone will find a place!

Campsite facilities Oasis Palavasienne

In high season there is entertainment all day, such as children's club (morning and afternoon), sports tournaments and in the evening of course shows and karaoke. For the children there is a beautiful new playground and a game of football or basketball can play on the multisports area. Occasionally there are nice extra activities, such as laser shooting. Fishing enthusiasts can fish in the river along the campsite without the need of a permit.

Besides swimming and relaxing on the beach you also want to see some of the surroundings. Nearby is La Grande Motte, one of the first modern tourist places. More historical is the fortified town of Aigues-Mortes, where you can walk on the wall. Montpellier is a cozy student city with many nice shopping streets. In mid-July you can visit the horse festival in Saintes-Marie-de-la-Mer.

Drunk employee "restaurant" and we couldn't order anything in the evening

The campsite was a disappointment. Our point of contact gave us wrong information about markets .. that information was from 3 years ago according to the woman from Office du tourism. The air conditioning had failed several times and I could not contact anyone, our contact person was only at her place from 4 to 7 pm. When I finally saw her she was "angry" because she just wanted to eat. There would be a cash machine on the campsite in the information from the tour operator but there is not. Ok not a properly working gym. We went to eat in the restaurant .. but the waitress (there was one) was completely drunk and then sat inside to eat herself. We left. It was a mess. Once but never again
