Recreate in natural waters - swimming, pedalos, sailing, and canoeing - to give an even freer feel to your camping holiday. Fresh bread is available daily for breakfast and lunch. Score a bottle of local wine in the grocery shop to accompany the barbecue. Once a week, a market with more local produce settles here. Bad weather for a day? Old-fashioned board games are available for hire at reception.

Visit the beautiful castle in nearby Sillé-le-Guillaume, where you can do your shopping at the supermarket. Head for Le Mans, not only a Formula 1 city (visit the Le Mans 24-hour Museum), but also the location of amusement parks such as Gulli or Papea. And a shopping mecca, with typical French markets and department store Galeries Lafayette. Also, keep an eye on the local events calendar for sizzling summer festivals.
