The quiet, Green Key label luxury campsite La Source is beautifully situated on a lake between the Auvergne and Midi-Pyrénées and offers plenty of activities for the whole family. From your mobile home you can easily walk to the Lac de Sarrans beach, swimming pool and sports field.

This top campsite has a lovely swimming pool with a beautiful view of Sarrans Lake. It is great to relax on one of the many sunbeds and the large pool invites you to take a refreshing dip. Facilities at camping La Source

La Source offers you everything you need for an active and relaxing camping holiday. As well as swimming and water sports, you can play games on the sports fields or challenge each other on the mini-golf course. There is both daytime and evening entertainment, and for children, there is a mini-club. In the summer months, the campsite places the Wibit Aqua Parc on the lake. The Wibit Aqua Parc is an aqua-fun course with inflatable modules on the water. Furthermore, at La Source you will find a cosy bar, restaurant and pizzeria and a point of sale in the reception for some basic groceries.

There’s plenty of greenery in the car park itself. This also provides plenty of privacy.

There is a 75-metre difference in height between the cottage and the entrance + swimming pool, and also between the cottage and the car park – 51 steps and a steep slope – which is very tiring and doesn’t exactly encourage a short walk before or after dinner.

Our first impression of the campsite was positive because of its leafy setting. However, the cottage we were allocated was the highest one on the whole site, accessible only via steep roads and then another 51 steps. It wasn’t just getting the luggage up there that was a struggle; every time we returned to the cottage, we first had to spend a few minutes catching our breath and working up a sweat, both for us (fit parents in our forties) and for our fit teenagers. We didn’t find that very pleasant; it made us feel rather cooped up, as it meant we avoided going for a short evening stroll. The beach, too, wasn’t really worthy of the name, due to its steep slope and the fact that it consisted of rocks, stones and dead wood. We did manage a few lovely walks and outings in the area, but it took some searching.
