Looking for a camping holiday not too far away, with plenty of entertainment for all the family just a stone's throw from the sea? Then head for the beautiful Pays-de-la-Loire in western France. This campsite in Angles, built around an old farmhouse, is all about enjoyment.

Swimming facilities at Homair Le Clos Cottet

No shortage of water fun: the water park consists of an indoor and outdoor section including a children's pool and slide. It is surrounded by sun loungers and parasols, so while you relax with a drink, the children can let off steam. They can do the same with various water sports in the river near the campsite, as well as at the beach a few kilometres away on foot.

Unfortunately, not what we expected from it. We had rented a lodge tent and it turned out to be severely outdated. The beds are of very poor quality and the place is full of cobwebs. The toilet building is very outdated and is not cleaned properly. We suspect that this is because the campsite mainly has chalets with private facilities. Unfortunately for us no next time. Many chalets seem to have permanent residents. During our stay there was even a police raid, with guns drawn they detained a person. Plus point is the restaurant with very friendly staff. The greenery and playground equipment of the campsite are clean.
