There are also two slides by the grass beach, which has a gently sloping seabed that is ideal for children and a large shaded area for relaxing. We had a wonderful holiday at Pelso. Our cottage is near the lake, situated in a quiet courtyard. Everything is conveniently within walking distance because the campsite isn't crowded. The entertainment was fantastic and varied for just one week. They have the same program every week and make the same crafts every week. So if you're there for two weeks, the children do the same thing for two weeks. It's great that there are goals and a basketball club in the lake, which is fun for the kids. It's a shame that only two of the five slides were working, and it seems to have been that way for five years. There are two swimming pools, and they're quite small, but we knew this beforehand, so it was perfectly fine. The pool attendant varies considerably, also regarding what's allowed and what's not. Some parts of the campsite are very dark, making it difficult to see where you're going. The campsite shop has a limited selection, and often the bread rolls were gone by 9 pm and weren't replenished. There's a Penny's and an Aldi near the campsite. A little further on, in Veszprém and Balatonfured, there's also a Lidl, which has a wide selection. The cottage we stayed in (with three bedrooms) was filthy when we arrived. Food scraps, dead flies/mosquitoes, and tons of dust. So, we cleaned it ourselves upon arrival. The cottage is fine, though there's little storage space, and the beds are comfortable compared to other tour operators. We had a wonderful stay. We read a lot of bad reviews beforehand about it being a mess and dilapidated, but that's completely untrue. Restaurant Rezeda, right after the gate, has delicious food and super friendly staff!
