The Camping Villaggio Barricata is situated by Bonelli and is in the middle of the Po Delta. This campsite is in the midst of a splendid nature reserve with a variety of superb cycle routes.

Camping Villaggio Barricata has several pools, including a shallow lagoon pool with islands and second pool with a gentle slide. The deeper pool is close to an open air wellness centre and Jacuzzi. If you would like to relax on the beach then Camping Villaggio Barricata has direct access to two golden sandy beaches. One is the ‘Barricata Beach’ which is about 2 miles long and the second beach is ‘Shells Beach.’ ‘Shells Beach’ is a private beach that is about half a mile long and has sun loungers, parasols, a shower and a bar-kiosk.

Those who like seclusion are in good hands in Barricata. After two vacations in the lodge tent, this time a mobile home was our accommodation. More cramped in terms of space and not as well equipped as the tents. The big plus is of course the air conditioning, which you wouldn't want to be without in the height of summer. Towards the end, the mini market is no longer so generously equipped, we drove the 20 minutes to the next larger supermarket. We knew that there are a lot of mosquitos and the spraying helped very well. Sightseeing can be booked through the diving center, but we didn't use it. There are two beaches to choose from, both very beautiful and enough free space if you don't want to afford the luxury of sunbeds with umbrellas. We will probably not go to Barricata for a fourth time, but you should never say never.
