Lucherino

On hot days, the pool at Camping Lucherino is theé place to cool off. The pool is 110 cm deep, perfect for quietly floating around or playing in the water with the kids. Around it are deck chairs where you can relax, the Tuscan sun on your face and nothing to do. Thanks to its location at 700 meters, there is often a gentle breeze, which makes it pleasant even in the middle of summer. And when the sun’s evening sinks behind the hills, the sky turns deep orange and red – a beautiful scene that never bores.  

Camping Lucherino is quiet and tucked away in a forest of chestnut trees, which provide fine shade throughout. The terraced campground is laid out and has a warm, natural feel. Here, everything is about simplicity with just that little bit of extra comfort. You will automatically come to rest.  In the evening, you can sit down at the cosy restaurant on the campsite, where tasty Italian dishes are served – fresh, pure and prepared with love. Whether you start the day with a cappuccino while looking out over the valley, or end it with a glass of wine under a starry sky, here it is all about enjoying the moment. The area around Camping Lucherino is a true paradise for lovers of hiking and nature. Several hiking trails start directly from the campsite through the unspoiled landscape of southern Tuscany. Highly recommended is the walk to the little river Zancona – a half-hour walk through the greenery. There is a refreshing dip in clear water awaiting. Those who enjoy exploring the region are also in the right place: visit charming villages such as Monticello Amiata, Cinigiano or the wine town of Montalcino. And also Grosseto, the historic capital of Maremma, with its Etruscan past, is well worth a trip.
