Camping Horstmansbos

During this camping holiday organise a cycling or walking tour through the Hondsrug, the only geopark in the Netherlands, and admire the lakes, meadows, sand drifts and forests, and special fauna. Or take the route past the wondrous dolmens. Drive within half an hour to WILDLANDS zoo or Duinenzathe amusement park near the cute town of Appelscha. Cross the German border to Freizeitpark Schloss Dankern. Camp Westerbork is educational, as is the Veenpark, where you dive into the history of peat excavations and sod huts. And what about a day in unforgettable Groningen?

Children have fun in the playground or climbing the forest. A bouncy castle and trampoline are available, go-karts can be hired and various entertainment is provided. You can make use of the various on-site catering facilities (including a sandwich service for breakfast) and there is a supermarket within walking distance in the village. The available bicycle hire makes shopping even easier, for example after returning from a ride through the peaceful countryside.

This campsite in Drenthe has a swimming lake where you can cool down on hot days. Nearby you will also find Het Nije Hemelriek recreational lake, which has a huge swimming ramp and is also used for swimming. DX Adventurepark, 7 minutes' drive away, offers even more water fun.
