The Belgian city of Maastricht is just 36 kilometres away and is a colourful mix of past and present. It has a beautiful old town with great cafés, restaurants and museums. Aachen on the German side is around 52 km away. Visit Aachen Cathedral, the Elisenbrunnen fountain and stroll through the old town.
