A holiday on the edge of a 935-hectare recreation area and yet close to the city centre of Amsterdam. That is possible at EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse Bos in Amstelveen, where you can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday close to the city.
Swimming facilities at EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse Bos

Being a peaceful campsite, there is no large swimming pool on site. However, there is a very shallow splash pool near the playground for the youngest visitors. Water lovers can go to the Grote Vijver. This is the official swimming location of the Amsterdamse Bos. There are also two children's pools in the forest, where young children can safely enjoy the water.

Facilities at EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse Bos

With so many possibilities in the vicinity, the campsite is a relatively quiet location without a restaurant, entertainment or live music. The campsite does have a shop for the most important daily groceries, where you can pick up your freshly ordered bread rolls in the morning. With a rental bike you can easily move through the forest or cycle to the centre of Amsterdam. Rent an e-chopper with thick tyres and follow a route that you can download via an app. On site you will find a playground where the children can climb and play uninhibited.

Surroundings of EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse Bos

You can quickly reach the historic centre of Amsterdam by bike or via the nearby tram stop. The Science Museum NEMO is aimed at children and Artis zoo is always a great experience. You will discover the living Dutch past at the Zaanse Schans, while the fishing village Volendam at the IJsselmeer is loved by many tourists. The Muiderslot is one of the most beautiful castles from the Middle Ages.

Lovely campsite for exploring The Netherlands.
Lovely pitch setting on a clean and well maintained site.
Campsite right next to the Bos park, great for cycling and exploring.
Lots to do in the area and not far from Amsterdam.
Having to leave.
A great trip down memory lane. Last visited the site 36 years ago when I would go every school holiday as a child because my dad worked nearby so had his caravan sited at the campsite. The campsite still remains a lovely place to be and I enjoyed showing my children where I use to holiday and still have the same love for the campsite and area to this day.
